FIELD EQUIPMENT OF SCIENTIFIC INVESTIGATIONS
Field equipment for science is tools that researchers use to observe, to measure and to collect samples of what they are studying. They are as diverse as science itself. Have you for example ever heard of a redox metre or a secchi disk? In this lecture, I will show you examples of tools specifically used in Arctic research - both on land and below water. I will tell you what they are used for, and how to treat the samples we collect using such tools.
