The Earth and the Faroe Islands in Geological time

The geological history of the Earth is long and exiting. It spans over more than 4.6 billion years. Through this time many changes have taken place, some sudden and others slowly over a long period. A great deal is still unknown, but scientists have reached an idea of what has happened. This webinar will give you an overview of the evolution of the Earth and since I am in the Faroe Islands, I will tell you how and when these islands developed along the way. To prepare for the Online Lesson, you can check out these Polarpedia words: Geological Timescale, Supercontinent, Orogeny and Faroe Islands.
