Earth's as a jigsaw - litosphere and plate tectonics

The lithosphere, which is the outermost shell of a planet is broken into tectonic plates, which are in move. Since billions of years lithospheric plates are moving, forming and breaking-up the continents.

During this lesson will be shown main facts about the lithosphere and plate tectonics. Students will learn about tectonic plates, types of plate boundaries and other processes that led to the formation of the present continents.

This lesson will be performed by or guest scientist, PhD candidate Agata Bury.
