WIND TURBINES, WHEN GOOD BECOMES BAD
Once they were considered only good, something that would save the globe from a warming climate. Wind turbines could have been a highly sustainable alternative to fossile energy. At one point, however, they turned into one of the largest threats to wildlife and functional ecosystems in many areas. How could this happen? In short, they started to be placed out in nature instead of on land already disturbed by human infrastructure. If you care for nature and wildlife, join our webinar to learn when and how wind turbines still is a good thing, and when it is a bad thing.
We have two complete educational tool-kits of relevance to this webinar: 'Environmental issues of the north' and 'The Green Shift, where 2+2 is never 4'. We advise that your students work with the tool-kits prior to the webinar. They are also available in Norwegian: Miljøproblemer i nord and Det Grønne Skiftet. The tool-kit is free to be used by anyone who is interested, but please REGISTER with us so that we can keep you updated about changes and new tool-kits.
